We're a finalist in the 34th National Banksia Sustainability Awards

Writer: Courtney MathewCourtney Mathew

We excited to share we have been named a finalist in the Banksia Foundation National Sustainability Awards - Australia’s longest-running and most prestigious sustainability awards.

Banksia’s message is strong. For humanity to survive, we need biodiversity to thrive. However we can’t be subject to pessimism. People need to hear our sustainability success stories. These awards represent Australia’s brightest leaders, changemakers and innovators who are making a positive impact on the world. The finalists, drawn from a record number of entries, demonstrate optimism and hope for a brighter future despite fears of an economic downturn.

As with the Premier’s Sustainability Awards late last year, we are once again in humbling company. We are in the Future Places category – the link to all finalists is https://banksiafdn.com/national-awards-finalists/ Other finalists in our category are: CarbonLite, VIC; City of Melbourne, VIC; North Western Program Alliance, VIC; Sydney Metro, NSW.

The award ceremony is March 23rd - cross your fingers for us!

We acknowledge the Peek Whurrong People of the Maar Nation as the original custodians of the land on which we meet and garden. Our garden adjoins a significant place, we continue to learn its history as we work together in a spirit of reconciliation.
