About the event

Join a series of storytelling sessions as part of the Sprouts children's garden program on Wednesdays at the Warrnambool Community Garden.

Aimed at primary-school aged kids, this series of sessions will involve different kinds of engagement with the creative world of the gardens.

We will listen to stories, make maps, imagine characters, come up with plotlines, create backgrounds, and explore the potential of this place as a site for stories.

The cost is $5 a session, and we're asking families to book in for the entire series for $40, which will fall on the first Wednesday of the month (except July, which is school holidays). The sessions are capped at 10 participants:

  • 1 April - Storytelling for fools

  • 6 May - Mapping our garden

  • Sprouts Storytelling x 8

This is for all events in 2026 for one child, carers must stay for the whole session.

We acknowledge the Peek Whurrong People of the Maar Nation as the original custodians of the land on which we meet and garden. Our garden adjoins a significant place, we continue to learn its history as we work together in a spirit of reconciliation.
