About the event
This fun weekly program from 2-3pm covers an introduction to gardening, learning how to plant, grow, harvest and share the delicious fruit, vegetables and herbs the children and their carers grow.
Children must be at least 6 years old to join and carers must stay on site for the session. You can pay as you go to suit busy schedules and don't have to be garden members to come along to these sessions, they are open to all.
Activities can include almost anything. Think soil preparation, planting seeds, caring for plants, harvesting, visiting the chooks, feeding the worm farm and composting and more. They will also help build habitat for wildlife and learn some garden ecology.
We have a longer kids in the kitchen sessions which connect the garden to the kitchen. Check out wcg3280.org.au/kids to book.
